I’m super excited to announce that my wife, Ashley Brown, a Physician Assistant for the past five years in the St. Luke’s medical system has found an opportunity to remove herself out from under the corporate thumb and give the community something it really needs.
Recently, she negotiated the purchase of retiring doctor Nancy Parry’s practice on Walnut St. in Ketchum. Nancy who is renowned for her decades of benevolent service to the community was nearly ready to close up shop when Ashley approached her. Ashley to no avail had been jockeying for a walk-in clinic opportunity in the Wood River Valley for quite some time when she decided to take her destiny into her own hands. To the credit of Nancy equally recognizing the opportunity Ashley was able to acquire her practice.
The new practice, Ketchum Family Medicine, will officially get off the ground October 1st open Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm. Current patients are welcome to stay with pediatrics and walks in welcome. The need for immediate care outside of an ER in this town is painfully evident as it is currently the only medical service open on Sundays. KFM intentionally will be planning to be open on Sundays as soon as it can. This is a product that is sincerely necessary to our community with great potential for more expanded hours and more providers down the road.
